A man on a thousand mile walk has to forget his goal and say to himself every morning, “today I’m going to cover twenty-five miles and then rest up and sleep.”
― Leo Tolstoy, War and Peace
Yes, it’s tough.
No, it’s not impossible.

Who knew one could reach the finish line by forgetting about? Talk about real-talk.

Exactly! I find this quote extremely practical. If only it was easy to apply!

Yes! I know right! That’s the problem with wise words I guess. They sound so true yet rarely do we really apply them.

No one sends letters anymore and if I’m not writing down words in my notebook, I’m here on WP happily connecting with fellow bloggers! It’s good to hear from you!

I have a dear older friend who lives in Portland, Oregon who still sends lovely handwritten letters that I treasure. It’s expensive to send letters and we try to keep in touch several times a year. In fact, I’m due to send her a card soon!

That sounds lovely!
Unfortunately (or fortunately) all my friends are in the same city as me :p

Sounds like a lot of fun, meeting for a tea or coffee would happen more often! I only see my friend once or twice a year.
